Starting in December 2022, the annual program offers students three months’ paid work at Unitywater during their summer break.
University students are encouraged to apply for the program, with placements available across Engineering, Business, ICT, Science, Marketing, Law, Commerce and Environmental Planning.
Unitywater Executive Manager People, Culture and Safety Kenan Hibberd said the program had been instrumental in attracting highly talented students from the local region and across Australia, as well as promoting the diverse array of careers available within the water sector.
“Our Vacation Work Program has brought some talented, keen and passionate people into our organisation, who have then remained at Unitywater and progressed their careers,” Mr Hibberd said.
“Students in the program can put their studies into practice and work on some of the challenges and opportunities facing our communities from a water and wastewater perspective.”
“Each year the interest in the program grows as we expand our disciplines and encourage students to learn the many and varied roles that the water industry offers.”
Unitywater employs more than 700 people and actively encourages candidates with all abilities and diverse backgrounds to apply.
Applications close 29 September 2022. Visit https://unitywater.careers.site/ to apply.
