Prior to 1 July 2014, Councils managed the construction, alteration and disconnection to Unitywater water supply and sewerage infrastructure as part of a Development Application, and Unitywater provided Council with water supply and sewerage advice and jointly monitored the construction of water supply and sewerage assets.
If you have an existing undecided development application lodged with council or an existing current development approved during the period 1 July 2010 and 30 June 2014, then the following arrangements will remain in place.
For Development Applications lodged with Council up to and including 30 June 2014
Once the development approval takes effect (i.e. the appeal period is complete), the water supply and sewerage aspects of the approval become a Unitywater responsibility under the SEQ Water Act as a stage connection approval.
