Supporting our flood-affected customers

We know some of our customers are doing it tough after being impacted by the late-February extreme wet weather event.

We offered a $50 flood rebate to customers whose properties were inundated. This is equivalent to the average amount of water a family of four uses in two weeks, or running a garden hose for eight hours straight. This rebate was intended to help cover the cost of water used for cleaning.

Applications have now closed

  • Customers had until 31 May 2022 to complete the application form.
  • We are now assessing all applications, and this may take 6-8 weeks.
  • Once approved, the rebate will appear on the next bill after the 31 May application closing date.
  • Other support we offer our customers includes our Smoothpay option for bills and hardship payment plans.
