Primary schools across the Moreton Bay, Noosa and Sunshine Coast regions will be the first in Australia to take part in a new live, in-school-theatre water education program, ‘Walter Smart and Friends’. The program is being trialled by Unitywater in partnership with Smart Approved WaterMark and Gibber Educational.
This exciting and free program will be available to 20 primary schools in Term 2 of the 2021 school year.
The program is aligned to key aims of the F–6 Australian Curriculum for Science and HASS, and includes a 35-minute, high energy pantomime style performance and follow-on interactive 25-minute workshop that inspires and educates students about water use and waste management.
Schools can book in any number of students in years 1-6 to join in the performance and contribute to their studies about the water cycle, helping them become Local Water Legends.
Bookings are now open. Register your school using the booking form below.
